Jason Kelce is proving to have star power.

John Ourand of Puck reports that ESPN is talking to the former Philadelphia Eagles offensive lineman about a late-night show.

After proving a hit with viewers with his contributions on “Monday Night Countdown,” former Philadelphia Eagles star Jason Kelce could be set to take the main stage.

The former Eagles star center and co-host of the “New Heights” podcast would have a show produced by NFL Films and licensed to ESPN, airing on five straight Friday nights starting in January.

The hope is that Jason Kelce’s appearance on the show will create clips that go viral over the weekend on platforms like YouTube and TikTok.

Kelce currently appears on Monday Night Countdown. His podcast with Travis, New Heights, recently did a nine-figure deal with Amazon’s Wondery.

This would not come as welcome news to ESPN colleague Chris Russo, who has spoken disparagingly about his peer’s contributions on screen.

Speaking on “First Take,” Russo said: “You’re gonna get mad at me. I’m gonna say it anyway because I feel like it. I think we’ve all seen plenty of Jason Kelce in the last few weeks” before Stephen A. Smith chimed in by defending the former Eagles star, interjecting: “I happen to like Jason a great deal.”

There is no questioning Kelce’s enthusiasm.

Jason Kelce Continues To Elevate Since Retiring

Jason Kelce has not gone into retirement quietly.

Kelce has proven a hit with viewers after showing natural talent in front of the camera, having built up previous experience as the co-host of the popular “New Heights” podcast.

The retired center hung up his cleats after 13 memorable years at Lincoln Financial Field and has been on TV ever since.

Kelce joined ESPN this year following his retirement and has worked as an analyst on “Monday Night Countdown” this NFL season.
