FOX Sports NFL analyst Tom Brady clearly violated one of the rules that he must follow now that he’s part owner of the Las Vegas Raiders.

Before Tom Brady’s bid to become a minority owner of the Raiders was formally approved, he was given several rules to follow as an NFL analyst. As noted by ESPN’s Seth Wickersham, Brady is not allowed to publicly criticize NFL referees.

In the second quarter of the Green Bay PackersDetroit Lions game on Sunday, Brian Branch was ejected for a hit on Bo Melton. Officials reviewed the play and made the controversial call to throw Branch out.

And that’s where Tom Brady committed a clear-as-day violation by openly destroying the officials for the questionable ejection on Branch:

“I don’t love that call at all,” Brady said. “Obviously, it’s a penalty. But to me, there has to be serious intent.”

The NFL would probably like to let it go and not make a big deal of it, but it’s a blatant violation of the rules that Brady has to follow as a minority owner. If anything else, he’ll likely receive a small fine for the violation.

Tom Brady Made A Strong Point On This Play

Even if it’s a rule violation, it’s hard to disagree with Brady’s take. Branch wasn’t at all trying to injure Melton on the play there, and it was just an unfortunate collision while the Packers wideout made a play on the ball.
