Philly jeweler Steven Singer offers Travis Kelce a $1 million ring as Taylor Swift engagement rumors swirl
Steven Singer offered the couple a 7½-carat, emerald-cut engagement ring after hearing rumors that Kelce planned to propose to Swift on their one-year anniversary this summer.
Marry Taylor? But he hardly knows her!
Not according to Steven Singer, the Philadelphia-based jeweler to the stars who offered to gift Travis Kelce a $1 million engagement ring, should the Kansas City Chiefs tight end ever propose to Swift.
The proposal comes as actual proposal rumors swirl around Swift and Kelce, who began dating in July after Kelce failed at giving the Reading-born pop star a friendship bracelet with his phone number on it.
Since then, the couple’s high-profile courtship has generated a motley crew of conflicting gossip: Swift and Kelce are simultaneously fighting after football games and preparing to get engaged on their year anniversary this summer, all while handling long distance as Swift prepares to embark on the second leg of the international Eras Tour.
For Singer, however, the ring offering has less to do with betting on the couple’s nuptials and more to do with pleasing his 30-year-old daughter Dana, a fourth-grade teacher and super Swiftie who has seen the pop star in concert on every tour since she opened for Tim McGraw in 2007.
“My daughter told me that she’s very happy Taylor found love. I’m in the love business, so I thought ‘Wow, I am going to be the world’s greatest father’ if they go through with this,” said Singer, whose jewelry company has designed pieces for several Eagles, Flyers, and Sixers greats.

The ring design Singer settled on is a handmade Art Deco style, 7½-carat, emerald-cut natural diamond cast in platinum. Singer asked for input from his daughter, who suspects Swift would want something “vintage and classic, but not over-the-top ostentatious.”
“It’s a classic design that will never go out of style, and [Swift] has these long piano fingers that this would sit well on,” said Singer, who also pulled inspiration from all six of Jennifer Lopez’s engagement rings.
Singer said that his team sent the offer to Kelce’s manager last week and has not received a response. Steven Singer Jewelers also offered to donate $1 million to a charity of the couple’s choice, Singer said, should Kelce and Swift want to pay for the ring.

“It’s an open-ended offer,” Singer said. “Whenever they’re ready, we’re ready.”
The company has been “inundated with calls and emails from people all over the country” who are interested in Swift’s ring since they publicly announced the offer Wednesday, Singer said. They plan to offer similar two-carat, one-carat, and half-carat styles for $20,000 or less.
Singer isn’t a stranger to elaborate advertising stunts. Since 2002, the jeweler has plastered the famous “I hate Steven Singer” tagline on billboards across the the United States, inspired by a comment he received from a client whose wife gave birth nine months after Singer made a ring for their 20th wedding anniversary.
And in 2018, Singer hosted a photo op with an on-loan Vince Lombardi trophy in his showroom at Eighth and Walnut Streets after the Eagles won Super Bowl LII against the New England Patriots.
Singer said this is different. He’s an avid listener of the New Heights podcast Kelce hosts with his brother and Eagles center Jason, and has long admired Swift for her ability to remain a role model during her 20-year career.
“The stars and moon are lining up. Travis and Taylor are the right age and look super happy. This is like our version of a princess getting married,” said Singer, 66. “And if we could play a small part in it, it would be icing on my jewelry career.”

Philadelphia-based jewelry designer Steven Singer is so thrilled at the prospect of Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s engagement that he’s offering the NFL star a $1 million custom-made ring for the proposal.
“I recognize that the most renowned couple globally has an abundance of options when it comes to choosing engagement rings, should they decide to tie the knot,” the owner of Steven Singer Jewelers tells Page Six exclusively.
“If they do, I would be honored to help design a truly extraordinary ring exclusively for them.”
Singer adds that he has a “deeply personal” reason for wanting to design such a sentimental piece for the couple free of charge.
“My daughter is an avid fan of Taylor Swift, and we admire not only her but also the values she champions,” he tells us.
“Perhaps, by presenting them with the ring of their dreams, it might make securing concert tickets for her next tour a tad easier,” he jokes.
In terms of design, the jewelry expert already has an idea of what the “Cruel Summer” songstress might want.
He suggests an Art Deco-style, 7.5-carat emerald-cut Earth Born diamond ring handmade in platinum.
“With colorless, eye-flawless, real diamonds!” he adds.
And since Kelce and Swift have a combined estimated net worth of nearly $800 million, Singer says that he would donate the cost to a charity of their choice should they decide to pay for the ring themselves.
Singer’s grand gesture comes after Page Six exclusively reported last week that the “Blank Space” hitmaker and the Kansas City Chiefs tight end already have plans to take the next step in their relationship.
“Taylor and Travis discussed it and there is a plan,” an insider told us. “They will get engaged on their one-year anniversary in July.”
Per our source, the high-profile couple — who started dating in July 2023 — want to hold off on the engagement for now because “they don’t want it to seem like it’s rushed insanity.”
A separate insider previously told us that the football star has already asked the Grammy winner’s father, Scott Swift, for his permission for her hand in marriage.
“Scott has been asked for his blessing and has wholeheartedly given it, and Travis has been talking to friends about a ring,” a source close to Kelce claimed last month.
All eyes have been on the “All Too Well” singer, 34, and the two-time Super Bowl champion, also 34, since they went public with their romance in September 2023.
Since then, the two have spent plenty of time together at both Kelce’s home in Kansas City, Mo., and Taylor’s apartment in New York City. They also fit in some time with the pop star’s father in South America.
The “Look What You Made Me Do” singer has also been a staple at Kelce’s football games, which she shared is just a part of showing support for her partner.“When you say a relationship is public, that means I’m going to see him do what he loves, we’re showing up for each other, other people are there and we don’t care,” she said in her December 2023 interview with Time magazine.
“The opposite of that is you have to go to an extreme amount of effort to make sure no one knows that you’re seeing someone. And we’re just proud of each other.”
