Mike Tyson Says Getting High On Toad Venom Put Him In Touch With God, Who Told Him To Beat Up Jake Paul

Mike Tyson sat down for a bonkers interview with fellow native New Yorker and actress Rosie Perez and produced a litany of quotes that could only come from Tyson’s mouth.

During the discussion with Rosie Perez, the actress asked him how he thinks his fight with Jake Paul will “affect culture.” Mike Tyson then responded by saying that life is about “making the biggest impact before you die,” which prompted Perez to ask at what point in his life he realized that.

That question apparently opened the door for Tyson to detail his hobby of getting high on toad venom, which has says has put him in touch with God, who has “told him” what to do.

“You see a toad, you bust its p—, you put it on like a mirror, and it gets hard. You rub it down until it become fine sand, and then you smoke it. Then you meet god. And this is what god told me to do,” Tyson told Perez for Interview Magazine.

“I know it sounds strange, but if you do some investigation people will tell you about it… I had a shaman. I’ve done it over 80 times. 90 times, probably.”

The best parts of the whole interview are Perez’s stunned reactions to Tyson’s wildly unpredictable answers, as her shock comes through even though we’re only reading a transcript of the conversation.

Another hilarious and uniquely Mike Tyson moment is when Perez is asking how he thinks his upcoming bout against Jake Paul will impact his legacy, to which Tyson responds by making a comparison to infamous serial killer and cult leader Charles Manson.

“What do I care about my legacy? I never knew what a legacy was and people started throwing that word around so loosely. A legacy sounds like ego to me. I’m going to be dead soon,” Tyson said. “Who cares what somebody is going to think about me when I’m dead? We don’t talk about Charles Manson. No one cares about nobody when they’re dead and gone.”

“Weird comparison, but I’ll take it,” Perez responds.

Paul and Tyson’s fight will stream on Netflix on Friday, November 15 with coverage beginning at 8 p.m. EST. Our very own Jorge Alonso is down in Dallas for the fight, so make sure to follow him on Instagram @JZOsports and @BroBible for all sorts of coverage of the big fight.
