The ‘FOX NFL Sunday’ crew threw some shade at Netflix over the streaming platform’s presentation of the Mike TysonJake Paul fight on Friday.

The event drew a worldwide audience, but it appears the servers couldn’t withstand the load, as complaints over buffering were rife online.

With Netflix looking to add live sports in the near future, having already hosted live NFL games and planning to do so again in December, this is something they will have to fix. But subscribers probably wish they had done so sooner, as many of them missed key moments on Friday.

The FOX crew took a jab at the streaming giants during their latest broadcast, showing a clip of their very own Rob Gronkowski being interviewed alongside former NBA star Shaquille O’Neal, only the stream was a mess.

‘FOX NFL Sunday’ Warned Over Throwing Stones

The jibe drew some reactions from fans on social media, with one warning the network over throwing stones.

“Better than any of the jabs thrown in that fake a** fight,” a user wrote.

“Netflix is still buffering so it will be a while until they hear about this jab,” someone added.

“@NFL better get busy with Netflix to get that fixed,” said a third.

“People who live in glass studios shouldn’t throw stones,” someone cautioned.

Apart from the buffering issues, there were widespread complaints over the quality of the main event itself, although many people were impressed by Tyson’s ability to stay on his feet against a much younger opponent.

Netflix will treat this as a learning experience but cannot afford to put viewers through another such ordeal, as it could cost them subscriptions.
