The Houston Texans left the Dallas Cowboys’ AT&T Stadium with a 34-10 win on Monday night, making easy work of the NFC East side in Dak Prescott’s absence.

The Cowboys have been struggling at home this season and have yet to win a game on their own turf. But it appears their home is struggling along with them, given Monday’s incident.

Team staff had attempted to open the retractable roof over the stadium for the first time in two years but eventually decided to leave it closed after a large metal sheet fell from the structure, nearly causing serious injury or worse.

The game went on as planned and on schedule, but this could have easily turned ugly, given how close the sheet landed to the production staff going about their jobs below.

The Houston Texans Had Very Little Chill

Houston apparently had no qualms joking about the strange occurrence, taking to social media to post falling metal in the shape of an “L” after the game.

Check it out in the photo below:

“Body isn’t even cold yet 😂😂,” a fan laughed.

“Admin cookin FR,” said another.

“YOU OWN THEM ADMIN🤣🤣🤣🤣,” someone added.

“Nah this is insane 😭😭,” said a fourth.

“😭 catching 2 Ls a loss and a lawsuit,” a user joked.

“Straight for the jugular 😭😭😭😭😭,” another observed.

“Cook those frauds! (Those frauds are my team) 😂,” a fan urged.

The result saw the Texans improve to 7-4 on the season, while the Cowboys continue to languish and are now 3-7.

With Prescott out for the rest of 2024, it will be interesting to see whether they turn to Trey Lance, having played Cooper Rush under center to this point.

In any case, it appears they’re set for a lottery pick in next year’s draft.
