New Study Reveals Which NFL Teams Sell The Cheapest & Most Expensive Beer, And The Results Will Totally Shock You

A fascinating new study reveals the average beer price charged by all 32 NFL teams, and some of the numbers are quite stunning.

Fans who attend NFL games frequently know that food and beverage prices are usually a big-time ripoff. But NFL teams charge such lucrative prices because they know fans will always give in.

Team Marketing Report (via VinePair) recently studied the costs for fans to attend an NFL game at every stadium. This included the cost of a single 16 oz beer, and let’s just say you better be willing to pony up the cash if you’re going to attend a game in a big market.

Among all NFL teams, the Philadelphia Eagles charge more for a 16 oz beer than anybody at $14.67. The Los Angeles Rams and Los Angeles Chargers, who share the home venue of SoFi Stadium, have the second-most expensive beer prices at $13.75.

Some of the main surprises? The Jacksonville Jaguars charge more ($11.50 per) than NFL teams with traditionally pricy tickets such as the Dallas Cowboys ($9.50), Green Bay Packers ($9.50), and New York Giants and Jets ($11.50).

Even the Chicago Bears and Kansas City Chiefs, two of the most expensive sporting tickets in America, have much cheaper prices at $8.80 and $8.50, respectively.

The 2024 NFL season will begin on Sept. 5, when the defending Super Bowl champion Chiefs play host to Lamar Jackson and the Baltimore Ravens at Arrowhead Stadium. Next year’s Super Bowl will be played at the New Orleans Saints’ home venue of the Caesars Superdome on Feb. 9.

NFL Teams Won’t Be Dropping Those Prices

Unfortunately for football fans, ticket, food and drink prices aren’t going to change any time soon. The NFL makes billions and billions of dollars annually, and that’s largely because the fans are always willing to pay up their outrageous prices.

So if anything else, fans attending games this year may as well try to enjoy the current beer prices before they increase further in the coming years.

Are you ready for some FOOTBALL?

More specifically, are you ready for some expensive beers? As sports fans already know, drinking a brewski at the old ball game isn’t as easy as it used to be, financially speaking. You can still drink until your heart desires at sporting events, but you’ll just have to be prepared to groan when you look at your bank statement the next day.

A new study found that drinking at the game is more affordable in some stadiums than it is in others. Team Marketing Report, a sports marketing research firm, laid out the real-time costs that come with being an NFL fan. According to their findings, it’s become 7% more expensive to be a follower of the NFL just in the past year, and stadium beer prices have risen 20% year-after-year.

Explanations on Vine Pair help lay out the numbers a little more clearly:

“New data from the sports marketing company Team Marketing Report reveals the 2023 NFL Fan Cost Index rose by over seven percent year-over-year, with a total cost of attendance at a league average of $631.63.

This season, the data from Team Marketing Report indicates that the smallest beer size at every stadium (a 14.5 ounce serving, on average) ran fans $8.81, or $9.76 per pint — a 20 cent increase year-over-year.”

That’s the “stadium tax” you’ve probably heard about before. Sure, beer is expensive at the game, but what are you going to do about it? If you want a beer, you’re gonna have to pony up and pay for one.

The research at least put together beer pricing for each stadium, that way you know which ones to visit and which ones to avoid… if you consider yourself a beer connoisseur. While the NFL average for a 16 ounce beer sits just under $10, there are plenty of teams charging more, and a number of team’s (doing the Lord’s work) and cutting fans some slack:
