On Sunday, the New York Jets dropped to a 3-9 record after another loss to the Seattle Seahawks. However, the biggest storyline comes from the interim head coach, Jeff Ulbrich, who had an interesting soundbite.
After the game, he was asked whether the Jets would ever consider benching quarterback Aaron Rodgers and letting someone else take over for the rest of the season.
Ulbrich gave a simple yet complicated answer: “Not as of today.”
This indicates that if the Jets continue to lose every week like this, Rodgers might quickly find himself riding the bench.

Ulbrich likely gave such a vague answer since Rodgers had a decent game, completing 21 passes for 185 yards, two touchdowns, and one interception.
Jeff Ulbrich Has Likely Not Earned Himself Another Head Coaching Position
Whenever an interim head coach takes over for a struggling team, the fanbase hopes they can turn it around.
That has not been the case for Ulbrich, who is now 1-6 since taking over in Week 5. His only win came against the Houston Texans when the Jets walked away with a surprising 21-13 victory.
Of course, though, it was obvious to most that former head coach Robert Saleh was not the problem in New York, so it would have been hard for Ulbrich to change much.
