Jay-Z has been accused of raping a 13-year-old girl, allegedly alongside Sean “Diddy” Combs, and now the lawyer that is coming after him and speaking out.
The hip-hop legend has denied the allegations on social media through his Roc Nation company and blasted the lawsuit, calling it part of a “blackmail attempt” by the plaintiff’s lawyer.
The lawsuit alleges that the unnamed girl was drugged and raped by both Jay-Z and Diddy at a party hosted by Combs following the MTV Music Awards in 2000, held in New York.
Jay-Z and his company, Roc Nation, targeted the lawyer, accusing him of previously attempting to extort both him and his lawyer.
Tony Buzbee, the Texas lawyer representing the girl who filed Sunday’s lawsuit, would not sit around and allow the entertainer to speak out without a response.
Buzbee, who represented just about all of the women in the sexual allegations against Deshaun Watson, took to social media over the weekend and had a few choice words for the entertainer, accusing Hov of trying to “silence” his clients who are trying to come forward with their alleged truths about Carter.
Buzbee denied Carter’s accusations that he and his clients have been attempting to “blackball” him and insisted that the victim “never demanded a penny from him.”
“Regarding the Jay Z case and his efforts to silence my clients: Mr. Carter previously denied being the one who sued me and my firm. He filed his frivolous case under a pseudonym,” he typed. “What he fails to say in his recent statement is my firm sent his lawyer a demand letter on behalf of an alleged victim and that victim never demanded a penny from him. Instead, she only sought a confidential mediation.”
“Since I sent the letter on her behalf, Mr. Carter has not only sued me, but he has tried to bully and harass me and this plaintiff. His conduct has had the opposite impact. She is emboldened. I’m very proud of her resolve. As far as the allegations in the complaint filed, we will let the filing speak for itself and will litigate the facts in court, not in the media.”
The lawsuit details that the 13-year-old was allegedly sipped on a “bitter” drink, which made her “woozy, lightheaded and felt [like] she needed to lie down.”
She said she entered an empty bedroom to lie down when Combs and two celebrities entered. One, we now know, is allegedly Jay-Z, while the other remains unnamed.
She then alleges that Diddy told her she was “ready to party” and threw her toward Jay-Z, who she claims began taking off her clothes and held her down as he raped her.
She then states Combs raped her while Jay-Z and the female celebrity looked on.
What Will The NFL Do With The Jay-Z Situation?
Celebrated rapper and record producer Jay-Z is now the latest male entertainer with accusations on his name.
An amended lawsuit filed in federal court alleges the rap mogul raped a 13-year-old girl along with Sean “Diddy” Combs during a party in 2000.
NFL fans suggest the league should drop all connections to Jay-Z after the music personality was accused of raping a 13-year-old girl.
Carter’s Roc Nation has been responsible for putting on the famous Super Bowl Half-Time Show since 2020.
The league is likely to let this play out before cutting ties.
