Larry Fitzgerald Sr. has finally broken his silence after he sparked a major backlash by revealing Randy Moss’ diagnosis.
Fitzgerald Sr., the father of former Cardinals star Larry Jr., suddenly announced that Moss was dealing with liver cancer, which set off Moss’ son, Thaddeus.
He quickly took to social media to blast Fitzgerald, saying: ‘This is disgusting. You have no right to try to make private matters public for the sake of engagement. I do not believe my father talks to you, so check your f—ing sources.’
Fitzgerald Sr. spoke out when he issued a statement to DailyMail.Com.
‘I have no comment other than I know Randy, love Randy, and I’m praying for Randy.’
Randy Moss initially announced that he was stepping away from his duties as an NFL analyst for ESPN in order to deal with an “internal” medical issue.
He never revealed why before Larry Fitzgerald Sr. decided to spill the news.
Moss was a six-time Pro Bowler and four-time All-Pro who amassed 982 catches for 15,292 yards and 156 touchdowns over 14 NFL seasons.
