NFL fans are in stitches over Dre’Mont Jones’ hilarious ‘Sunday Night Football’ player intro that was seemingly cut off on the NBC broadcast.

For every ‘Sunday Night Football’ broadcast, NBC has the offensive and defensive starters on both teams introduce themselves with the college that they attended. Dre’Mont Jones, like several ex-Ohio State Buckeye stars, began his intro with “THE.”

Usually, Buckeye products will say, “The Ohio State University.” But it appears here that Jones’ SNF player intro was cut off after he uttered the first word:

Social media had some interesting reactions to Dre’Mont Jones’ SNF intro, with at least a few people thinking that the NBC producers may have cut him off before he could say, “Ohio State:

“Dre’Mont Jones intro didn’t go as planned,” wrote another.

“Anybody else see the broadcast cut off Dre’Mont Jones when he started to say, “THE O…” cut to the next guy,” asked another.

“That was some intro by Dre’Mont Jones,” a fan wrote.

“So glad someone else caught it,” an observed said

“THE” – Dre’mont Jones,” wrote another.

“They did Dremont Jones dirty,” a fan claimed.

“Dre’Mont Jones, THE- 🗣️🗣️🗣️,” wrote another.

“My favorite college,” joked a fan.

According to the Ohio State library website, folks began referring to the school as “The Ohio State University” to prevent confusion with Oklahoma State University and Oregon State University, which also carry the “OSU” abbreviations.

The 27-year-old Jones played at Ohio State from 2015 to 2018, earning First-team All-Big Ten honors in 2018. He played for the Denver Broncos from 2019 to 2022 before signing with the Seahawks last year.

Dre’Mont Jones Is Having A Strong Season For Seahawks

Jones has been a key performer on Seattle’s defense under first-year head coach Mike Macdonald, posting four sacks and a forced fumble through 13 games. He needs just three more sacks to set a new career high, having posted 6.5 in 2020 and 2022.
