NFL RedZone is a beloved show that shows an around-the-horn live highlight show demonstrating all the action on NFL Sunday.
“Seven hours of commercial-free football starts now,” is what fans have become accustomed to seeing for months.
Something weird happened during Week 15.
NFL RedZone has become a must-watch, and while watching it on Sunday, many noticed that they started doing something that they never do: playing commercials.
We are always promised no commercials, no matter what.
Fans couldn’t believe what they were seeing and certainly called the channel out for playing commercials.
“‘7 hours of commercial free football’ -NFL Redzone,” one fan mocked the channel while showing a picture of his television.
Another fan posted a picture of their TV with a commercial of Lamar Jackson drinking Gatorade as they wrote, “Commercials during NFL RedZone: the final death blow to Western Civilization.”
“Redzone just showed me a Verizon commercial… What happened to 7 hours of commercial free football?,” one fan asked.
“NFL Redzone just aired a double boxed Verizon commercial in the middle of a play,” another X user posted while adding a GIF of a screaming woman.
One guy even tagged Scott Hanson in his rant, stating, “Hey @ScottHanson, why the f–k is redzone running full length ads in the middle of the game. I used to believe in 7 hours of commercial free football but you’re a liar.”
On final fan added: “Redzone throwing an audible Verizon ad mid-broadcast while claiming “7 hours commercial-free football” is a crime against humanity.”
NFL RedZone Doesn’t Have Many Sundays Left In The Regular Season
Fans get goosebumps when they hear, “Seven hours of commercial-free football starts now.”
Airing from 1 p.m. ET to 8 p.m. ET every Sunday, NFL RedZone is arguably the best way to watch football, as you’ll be taken instantly to all of the action without seeing any commercials.
Unfortunately, we only have three full Sundays left before we have to say goodbye to the channel for months.
