Almost instantly, she blew up. Everyone wanted a piece of the “Hawk Tuah” girl, as ambitious hustlers looked to make a quick buck off the 23-year-old’s sudden rise to stardom.
But then, it all came crashing down because of one scheme that took their greed and ambition much too far.
Unless you’ve been living under a rock, you’ve probably heard about the Hawk Tuah crypto scandal, where Welch and her partners made a ton of money in a pump-and-dump scheme that left her fans on the short end of the stick with their bank accounts drained.
One day after the sketchy debacle, Welch and her team tried to explain themselves in a live conference on X’s Spaces, but that didn’t go so well, as the audience quickly turned on them, calling them out for their shady practices.
Feeling as though this was a battle she could no longer win, Haliey Welch famously logged off the call, stating that she was tired and wanted to go to bed.
Two weeks have passed since that cringeworthy moment, and we still haven’t heard a thing from the Hawk Tuah girl or her team.

The question everyone is left asking themselves is, “what happened to Haliey Welch?”
Is the Hawk Tuah girl still sleeping? Did she take off for another country, knowing that she could very well face prison time for her crypto scam?
One person on social media joked that she’s the new “Gone Girl.”
Another pointed out that she “should’ve just made an OF.”
