Kylie Kelce couldn’t help but throw a bit of shade towards Joe Rogan and his audience following the successful debut of her new podcast, “Not Gonna Lie.”
The first episode of Kylie Kelce’s podcast debuted on Dec. 5 and quickly unseated Rogan’s controversial podcast, “The Joe Rogan Experience” as the No. 1 podcast on Spotify and Apple.
Kelce spoke about the new podcast and its early success during an interview with Jessica Testa of the New York Times. In the interview, she seemingly took a shot at Rogan by pointing out that her podcast isn’t based on misinformation.
“Maybe it’s the promise that you’re not going to get lied to,” Kelce said.
In the article, Testa noted that Kylie Kelce refused to address Joe Rogan’s name. Regarding the comparisons to his show, she said “I couldn’t care less about the charts,” and said the critics are what get her going.
Kylie Kelce vs. Joe Rogan Should Be A Fun Podcast Battle
Though Rogan’s podcast has millions of viewers, he has been the subject of criticism for spreading misinformation on COVID-19 and its vaccines. Neil Young briefly left Spotify in protest of their partnership with Rogan, though he eventually returned.
The Kelces (Kylie, Jason and Travis) have a great global following now because of Travis’ relationship with Taylor Swift, the world’s biggest music artist. So like the brothers’ “New Heights” podcast, Kylie’s show will always have a large following. Will it permanently take over Rogan as No. 1? Stay tuned.
