Social media detectives believe Nickelodeon’s “dirty bubble” is responsible for the horrendous second-half meltdown by Jim Harbaugh’s Los Angeles Chargers in Saturday’s 32-12 Wild Card Round loss to the Houston Texans.

Jim Harbaugh’s first season with the Bolts ended on a miserable note, with the Chargers falling by 20 points to a banged-up Houston team that limped to the regular season finish line.

Along with its standard broadcast on CBS Sports, the NFL had a Nickelodeon alt-cast for the Chargers-Texans game. While the Bolts were up 6-0 in the second quarter, the Nickelodeon broadcast ran a “dirty bubble” graphic of Harbaugh being carried away:

And as social media detectives pointed out, the Chargers were outscored 32-6 after Nickelodeon revealed the Jim Harbaugh dirty bubble graphic.

“The Chargers were outscored 32-6 after the Dirty Bubble kidnapped Jim Harbaugh,” wrote the Barstool Sports X/Twitter account.

“Chargers coach Jim Harbaugh was kidnapped by Dirty Bubble with 11:39 left in the 2nd quarter. After that moment, Justin Herbert threw 4 INTs. Chargers were outscored 32-6, Chargers lost the game,” wrote The Sporting News.

game was over as soon as the Dirty Bubble kidnapped Jim Harbaugh tbh,” a fan said.

“the Dirty Bubble has enveloped Coach Harbaugh,” wrote another.

Chargers quarterback Justin Herbert threw just three interceptions in the regular season. Today? Four interceptions and only 14 completions on 32 pass attempts for 242 yards.

Jim Harbaugh’s Chargers Have A Lot To Mull Over

The Chargers entered this game as considerable favorites, boasting the league’s No. 1 scoring defense and a prolific offense with an elite quarterback, a stud wide receiver in Ladd McConkey and an explosive ground game.

So yes, Harbaugh and company have plenty to figure out in the coming months after getting humiliated by a vulnerable Houston team. Clearly, they’re not as close to title contention as many had thought.
