Davante Adams’ time in New York might be over, despite the Pro Bowl wide receiver spending less than a year with the Jets. And he knows which team he doesn’t want to go to ahead of a potential move away.
Adams joined the Jets in a trade from the Las Vegas Raiders earlier in the season. The team gave up a conditional third-round pick for the 2025 NFL Draft, which could have become a second-rounder based on his performances.
Things hardly worked out as planned, with NY winning just five games all season. And there are suggestions that they could blow it up.
Aaron Rodgers is likely to be done over there and may retire, and it will be interesting to see what happens with Adams. But he has already ruled one team out as a destination.
Speaking to Kay Adams on her ‘Up & Adams’ show, as he does every Tuesday, the WR suggested he wouldn’t want to join the Washington Commanders because he would have to give up his No. 17 as Terry McLaurin wears it.
Sorry #Commanders fans, I don’t think Davante Adams is ever coming to Washington 😅😭🔊
