An American Airlines regional jet collided with a U.S. Army Black Hawk helicopter on January 29th in a moment that shook the nation and the world.

The United States sets the standard for aviation safety, and it is quite unbelievable that something catastrophic like this happened.

In seconds, the wreckage of each aircraft plunged into the icy Potomac River.

The only footage that everybody saw was a far-away shot showing two dots crashing into each other before the explosion was noticed.

It would take less than 24 hours for even better footage to emerge, and a few people would lose their jobs as a result.

New footage emerged of the mid-air collision between an American Airlines flight and a U.S. Army Black Hawk helicopter near Reagan National Airport.

That has now resulted in two Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority employees to lose their jobs.
