Former NASCAR and IndyCar driver Danica Patrick has taken to Instagram to express her excitement over what Donald Trump just did for women’s sports.
The NASCAR queen has made headlines over the years for her outspoken views on transgender athletes in women’s sports.
Patrick’s stance is grounded in her belief that biological differences between men and women create an uneven playing field.
President Donald Trump made waves this week when he signed an executive order that prevents transgender women from competing in female categories of sports.
The order provides guidance, regulations, and legal interpretations, and it will require the Department of Education to investigate non-compliant high schools.
The order goes into effect immediately,
This is something that excited Danica Patrick.
Patrick took to her Instagram story and wrote “Amen” on a video that shows the 47th president signing an executive order, titled the “No Men in Women’s Sports Executive Order,” on Wednesday.

An administration official said that the executive order would reverse the position of the Biden administration that stated LGBT students would be protected by federal law.
This latest order empowers the Department of Education to investigate how schools implement Title IX, a US law that bans sex discrimination in federally funded education programs.
A number of sports, such as swimming, athletics, and golf, have banned transgender women from competing in the female category at the elite level if they have gone through male puberty.
“If you let men take over women’s sports teams or invade your locker rooms, you will be investigated for violations of Title IX and risk your federal funding,” Trump stated on Wednesday.
Danica Patrick Previously Slammed Trans Athletes
Trans athletes competing in women’s sports has become a controversial topic over the past few years.
Patrick, one of the most successful women in American racing history, has never been afraid to speak out.
“It’s completely wrong,” Patrick said on “Jesse Watters Primetime.”
“And this is coming from someone who was a woman who was basically in a man’s sport. A man is just different, their hormones are different, their body is different.”
