Football fans had a lot to say following a report of Shedeur Sanders’ flawless performance during the Cleveland Browns’ practice on Wednesday.
Shedeur Sanders was the consensus No. 2 quarterback prospect in the 2025 NFL Draft, behind Miami product Cam Ward. As expected, the latter went first overall to the Tennessee Titans, but Sanders shockingly fell all the way down to the Browns in round five at No. 144 overall.
On Wednesday, Browns rookie minicamp and OTAs reporter Cory Skuza said that Sanders went 13-for-13 during the practice session. Skuza added that he was the first rookie QB since Tom Brady in 2000 to complete every pass in practice.
ESPN Cleveland reported that Sanders was actually 7-of-9 for three touchdowns in Wednesday’s practice. Skuza says he kept track of every Sanders throw in practice, so make of it as you will.
Nonetheless, social media had a lot to say over Skuza’s report of Shedeur Sanders’ “perfect” performance on Wednesday.
‘Well… based on this performance in OTAs, just give the man his 6 rings,” one fan said.
“13/13 for #12? Always going the extra mile! Love this kid for the City,” wrote another.
“I really want the best for this kid…..,” said a fan.
“It’s hard to imagine a scenario where Shedeur does not become the greatest quarterback of all time,” a user commented.
“He’s cranking up his PR machine,” another said.
“Nobody cares it’s OTA,” a fan wrote.
The 23-year-old Shedeur Sanders is one of four healthy quarterbacks on the Browns’ depth chart, along with Joe Flacco, Kenny Pickett and fellow rookie Dillon Gabriel. Veteran Deshaun Watson is expected to miss most (if not all) of 2025 as he recovers from a torn Achilles.
Shedeur Sanders Hasn’t Written His NFL Story Yet

As discouraging as his draft slide must have felt, Sanders has to follow Tom Brady’s advice and use it as motivation. Sanders’ NFL story hasn’t been written yet, and he could still very well win their QB1 job.
