New Police Theory for Dad Accused of Killing Three Daughters

An eerie new theory has been proposed in the search for a father who allegedly suffocated his three daughters to death.

A major manhunt is underway in search of Travis Decker, who allegedly murdered his three young daughters by suffocating them with a plastic bag, on May 30.

Their bodies were found days after the killing on June 2, near a Washington state campground.

What was supposed to be a three-hour ‘planned visitation’ as part of his joint custody schedule, morphed into a devastating crime scene, as well as a relentess manhunt for the 32-year-old.

But exactly a month after the bodies of 5-year-old Olivia, 8-year-old Evelyn, and 9-year-old Paityn were found, the manhunt continues.

Speaking at a memorial for her girls, mom, Whitney Decker, said: “I truly hope that the legacy of the girls’ lives in everyone’s heart forever; they were incredible.”

Days have turned into weeks, and there still seems to be no sign of Decker, but a new theory is being explored.

During a news conference, Chelan County Sheriff Mike Morrison, who is part of the investigation, said: “There is nowhere that he’s going to be able to go that we don’t have units waiting for him.

“Eventually he’s going to tire. He’s going to make a mistake.”

On the day of the tragedy, Decker picked the girls up from their home in Wenatchee Valley, and had a 15-20 minute conversation with Whitney.

Speaking to ABC News, Arianna Cozart, Whitney Decker’s attorney, explained: “He said, ‘Hey, I will see you at 8 [p.m.],’ and he left, and never came back.”

After attempting to call her ex-husband multiple times, she began to express concern and filed a civil complaint to police, noting that Decker had failed to bring the girls home by the scheduled and agreed time.

She noted that he ‘reportedly has never done this before, and further explained he is currently experiencing some mental health issues.’

When the police department announced the disappearance of the three girls, Decker was currently ‘homeless and living in his vehicle, or at various hotels/motels, or at campgrounds in the area,’ – making him incredibly hard to trace.

After finding the bodies of the girls days laters, Decker was charged with three counts of first-degree murder and three counts firsIt-degree kidnapping, police said.

During the news conference, County Sheriff Morrison addressed the missing man, stating: “Travis, if you’re listening, this is your opportunity to turn yourself in, do the right thing, do what you need to do and take accountability for your actions.

“We’re not going to rest, and we’re going to make sure we find you.

“You will be brought to justice, those young ladies deserve it.”

But a new theory, a month after the killings, suggests that Decker might not even be alive.

In a statement, the Kittitas County Sheriff’s Office said: “At this time, there is no certain evidence that Decker remains alive or in this area.

“Seemingly strong early leads gave way to less convincing proofs over the last two weeks of searching.”

While officials have most definitely not given up on their efforts to find Decker, dead or alive, there is no doubt that it is proving to be a difficult challenge for officers that are seeking justice for the three little girls.
