Father God, We don’t have words. Only tears.
There are families right now shattered by loss. Mothers crying over empty beds. Fathers aching for a child they couldn’t save. Siblings lost, loved ones swept away, futures stolen by the flood.
Lord, meet them there. In the silence. In the grief. In the questions that have no answers.
Wrap Your arms around every broken heart. Be the strength in their legs when they can’t stand. Be the breath in their lungs when it hurts too much to breathe.
We especially lift up the parents who lost children, Lord. No pain cuts deeper. Please carry them through the darkness. Give them even a flicker of light. Help them survive the day, the hour, the minute.
And let the world not look away. These lives mattered. These names mattered. These children mattered.
We grieve with them. We stand with them. And we pray for Your comfort that passes all understanding.
