Donald Trump Scores Major Win In His Battle To Ban Trans Athletes From Women’s Sports Ahead Of 2028 Olympics

One of the biggest campaign promises from Donald Trump was to get rid of trans athletes from women’s sports. He has not let up and has been working for that to happen in the seven months since he was sworn into office.

Since regaining office earlier this year, the U.S. President has been doing his best to keep men out of women’s sports. He has moved a step closer to achieving his goal for the upcoming summer games in 2028.

Trump received a major boost in his attempts to ban trans athletes from the 2028 Summer Olympics after the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Service announced a major update to its immigration policy.

The U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Service announced on Monday that it intended to bar trans women athletes from obtaining “extraordinary ability” visas to compete in female sports, the conservative news website The Daily Wire first reported.

The guidance builds on an executive order President Donald Trump issued earlier this year that intended to bar trans women from competing in female sports.

The order provides guidance, regulations, and legal interpretations, and it will require the Department of Education to investigate non-compliant high schools.

This news comes shortly after the U.S. Olympic & Paralympic Committee updated its Athlete Safety Policy to align with President Trump’s Executive Order 14201, “Keeping Men Out of Women’s Sports.” This order effectively bars trans women from competing in women’s Olympic and Paralympic events.

Donald Trump is serious about getting trans athletes out of female sports.

Last month, the Trump administration sued California over its policies allowing transgender athletes to compete in girls’ school sports, alleging that their participation violates federal anti-discrimination laws.

The lawsuit claimed that California’s policies violate Title IX, which affords legal protection against sex discrimination.

Pam Bondi, the US attorney general, issued a statement attacking Gavin Newsom, saying, “Not only is it ’deeply unfair,’ it is also illegal under federal law.”

“This Department of Justice will continue its fight to protect equal opportunities for women and girls in sports.”
