Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy was back in the White House this Monday after being kicked out during a heated exchange last March. He remained defiant, although he showed up with an upgraded wardrobe.
Zelenskyy returned to the White House for talks with U.S. President Donald Trump geared towards ending the Ukraine-Russia conflict. He didn’t wear a tie, despite his choice of outfit being a significant issue during his last visit, after he was kicked out.
The Ukrainian leader wore a buttoned-up black collared shirt under a suit-style black jacket but refused to add a tie. Trump didn’t seem all that upset, giving an approving look and putting an arm around him, and compliments also came from elsewhere.

Per the Daily Mail, members of Trump’s delegation have assured that Russia is open to allowing American and European security guarantees for Ukraine. Still, POTUS has indicated that Zelenskyy should forget about regaining Crimea and getting NATO membership.
“President Zelenskyy of Ukraine can end the war with Russia almost immediately, if he wants to, or he can continue to fight. Remember how it started. No getting back Obama given Crimea (12 years ago, without a shot being fired!), and NO GOING INTO NATO BY UKRAINE. Some things never change!!!” he declared.

Melania Trump openly trolled the Ukrainian President by wearing a sharp suit after the Oval Office spectacle earlier this year. Still, she was the first person he thanked when he made his opening remarks.
Last week, the First Lady wrote a personal letter to Russian President Vladimir Putin urging him to end the war. Trump handed it to him when they met.
Upon thanking her, Volodymyr Zelenskyy presented Donald Trump with a letter from his own wife, Olena, to be given to Melania.
While this week’s visit appeared to be much friendlier, Zelenskyy is believed to have already rejected Trump’s terms for a peace plan with Russia, as he does not seem keen on sacrificing Crimea or giving up on his desire to see Ukraine join NATO.
