NFL Fans Are Roasting Giants’ “Thin Skinned” Rookie Abdul Carter For His Embarrassing Response After Getting Pancaked vs. Jets

NFL fans have lashed out at New York Giants rookie linebacker Abdul Carter following what they reckon is an “embarrassing” social media post.

Carter had an uncomfortable path from college to the pros as he suffered a devastating injury before the combine, but still went No. 3 overall this year.

The former Penn State standout has also stood out in training camp and preseason, though he was on the wrong end of a play that left him floored during his team’s 31-12 win over the neighboring New York Jets on Saturday.

Carter was made to look lightweight against the Jets’ offensive line after being felled by a chip block from tight end Stone Smartt, who slammed him into the ground despite his towering frame that had fans in awe during his early practice days.

The rookie wasn’t pleased with the move—no one would be—but he got on the wrong side of fans after lashing out on social media, claiming the block was weak, although he got thrown, and criticizing the Jets as a team.

“might be the only highlight of the Jets all season⬇️ and we put BTA. weak a– chip ate that mf like bbq,he wrote.

Fans were not impressed…

“Bro got demolished and comes to talk s**t on the internet 😭😭 embarrassing,” one said.

“Imagine being this thin skinned as a pro athlete. NY media gonna feast on this boy,” said another.

“Dude, you literally play for the Giants,” a user pointed out.

“Only thing you ate was that turf and you must’ve really enjoyed it bc you went there twice,” said a fourth.

“Getting this mad over a single rep in a preseason games speaks volumes about your insecurity. Pretty embarrassing actually,” another comment read.

As far as fans were concerned, this was not one of Carter’s brightest moments. The play certainly wasn’t, but they thought the tweet was unnecessary, given that the score shouldn’t have been anything to boast about in preseason.

It’s been a tough summer for Giants rookies, who have apparently done plenty to turn folks off on social media.

Only recently, Carter’s teammate, Cam Skattebo, had fans go off on him for his apparent lack of football knowledge.

Of course, everyone’s going to forget about their slip-ups once they put in a string of performances. But Skattebo is expected to miss the start of the season due to a lingering hamstring issue.
