Brett Favre Could Only Think Of One Word To Describe The Brutal Murder Of Charlie Kirk

Former NFL quarterback Brett Favre couldn’t find much to say about the murder of Charlie Kirk this week.

Kirk was shot in the neck while debating with a student at Utah Valley University on Wednesday, with an unknown assailant taking a shot at him from the rooftop of a building around 130 meters away.

The shooter used a high-powered bolt-action rifle, which he left in a wooded area for the cops to find while making his escape.

Utah Governor Spencer Cox has branded Kirk’s killing a “political assassination,” with a manhunt now on. United States President Donald Trump also called it a “heinous assassination” when he spoke about the shooting on Wednesday.

Brett Favre Was At A Loss For Words

Favre took to Twitter/X shortly after Kirk’s death to share a post in which he said he could only find one word to make reference to the shocking incident.

“I’m at a loss for words,” he wrote. “Only thing I can think of is tragic. Please keep Charlie Kirk and his family in your prayers.”

Favre was hardly the only one associated with the NFL to comment on Kirk’s death.

Kansas City Chiefs kicker Harrison Butker was among those who commented, but one NFL team is in the news for a not-so-positive reason as it pertains to Wednesday’s murder.

The Carolina Panthers were forced to fire a staffer who made light of the situation in an ill-advised social media post.

Meanwhile, the Federal Bureau of Investigation has released a photo of a person of interest wanted in connection with Kirk’s shooting.

The FBI has also obtained telling evidence suggesting they’re closing in on the shooter, but he remains at large for the time being.
