NFL fans had a lot to say (positive and negative) about a significant Super Bowl 60 halftime show announcement on Thursday.

Last week, the NFL announced that Bad Bunny would perform the Super Bowl 60 halftime show at Levi’s Stadium (home of the NFL’s San Francisco 49ers) on Feb. 8 in Santa Clara, California.

Turning Point USA, the nonprofit organization founded by Charlie Kirk in 2012, announced that it would be hosting its own Super Bowl halftime show. The performers for “The All American Halftime Show” will be announced at a later date.

Many disgruntled fans have threatened to boycott the Super Bowl halftime show. Mike Johnson, the Speaker of the United States House of Representatives, former racecar driver Danica Patrick and Ohio Republican Sen. Bernie Moreno are among the notable figures who’ve criticized the Bad Bunny Super Bowl halftime show decision.

As expected, reactions to Turning Point USA’s big announcement for the Super Bowl 60 halftime show drew mixed responses.

“As opposed to the official *checks notes* All American Halftime Show,” one fan said.

“Bad Bunny is an American,” said another.

“Will be much better than Bad Bunny,” wrote a fan.

“This will be more watched than the Super Bowl Halftime Show. Calling it right now,” a user added.

“If Creed isn’t headlining, then we dont want it,” wrote a fan.

“Great! Enjoy it, MAGA. The rest of us will be enjoying the NFL Halftime Show,” another said.

So, the milestone 60th Super Bowl will also be the first big game to have two “halftime shows.” We’ll see all of you on Feb. 8.

The Race For Super Bowl 60 Is Wide-Open

There is no clear-cut front-runner to win Super Bowl 60 after five weeks. The defending champion Philadelphia Eagles are 4-1 but struggling to move the ball offensively, especially in the passing game.

The Baltimore Ravens were among the top favorites, but they look done for at 1-4 with Lamar Jackson still nursing a hamstring injury. The Kansas City Chiefs are 2-3, and the 4-1 Buffalo Bills have been shaky on defense.

Other contenders like the Green Bay Packers, Detroit Lions, Los Angeles Rams and San Francisco 49ers have shown several warts, too. Add it all up, and there’s no clear-cut favorite to win the Lombardi Trophy this year.
