Former NFL quarterback Jay Cutler was arrested in 2024 for DUI after a car accident.

It’s been more than a year since his arrest, but now he is having to relive it after TMZ got hold of the body cam footage.

Cutler, a Vanderbilt graduate and former quarterback for the Chicago Bears, Denver Broncos, and Miami Dolphins, could be seen handing over his identification to an arriving officer following the accident.

He was then asked how much he had to drink after they smelled the strong scent of booze on him. After initially denying it, Cutler said he had a “little bit.”

Jay Cutler then refused to do a field sobriety test, which resulted in his being placed under arrest.

The former quarterback did not fight the arrest and promptly walked to the back of a squad car. Law enforcement sources told TMZ that a blood draw came back at a whopping 0.23 blood-alcohol content percentage, which was almost 3 times the legal limit of 0.08.

Jay Cutler Offered $2,000 In An Attempt To Get Out Of His DUI Arrest

Jay Cutler was originally charged with driving under the influence, failure to exercise due care to avoid a collision, implied consent, and possession of a handgun following his DUI arrest in 2024.

He was booked into the Williamson County Jail before being released on a $5,000 bond.

During that time, he also allegedly offered the driver he hit $2,000 not to call the police. The driver told authorities that Cutler offered him $2,000 if he did not call the police and attempted to flee the scene before officers arrived.

The former NFL quarterback began serving a four-day jail sentence in late September and was released in October.

In his plea deal, he must also be on unsupervised probation for one year and attend a DUI safety class. His Tennessee license was also revoked.

Jay Cutler will also have random and regular drug tests.
