An NFL referee took a brutal hit to the face from Javon Hargrave, which required him to be checked on the sideline during Thursday’s game between the Minnesota Vikings and Los Angeles Chargers.
Both teams could use a win following their respective starts to the current season, and the Chargers were predicted to edge this one out. They looked to be well on their way to that much-needed victory in the first half following a loss to the Indianapolis Colts, the best team in the NFL at the moment.
The Vikings are also coming off a loss to one of the best teams in the league, the defending Super Bowl champion Philadelphia Eagles.
Holy Sh*t: A Vikings player just WRECKED a ref in the face.

The result probably won’t matter to one of the officials, given the hit he took in the second quarter, with Minnesota DL Javon Hargrave inadvertently running into him helmet first while trying to get onto the field and knocking his hat off.
The ref got checked on the sideline and managed to keep going after the hit, but he might end up getting the next few weeks off, as a concussion is very likely.
