George Kittle’s season might be over.
George Kittle’s 2025 season appears to be done.
The San Fransico 49ers tight end had just caught a pass and was fighting to get away from a tackle. Unfortunately, it appeared that his right Achilles tendon had popped. He would go down to the ground and grab it immediately.
A cart would soon come out and retrieve him. All indications are that he is not only done with this game, but for the year.
It has truly been a year filled with injuries for the 49ers, and now George Kittle goes down.
Kittle and wide receiver Jauan Jennings were injured in the season opener. Kittle was also placed on the injured reserve after suffering a hamstring injury. Nick Bosa suffered a season-ending torn ACL, and Fred Warner snapped his leg. Now Kittle has gone down for a final time this year.
The tight end had one catch for six yards in the game against the Eagles. In the regular season, Kittle tallied 57 receptions for 628 yards and seven touchdowns in 11 games.
