Turning Point has a huge issue on their hands.
The Turning Point USA’s Halftime show has been talked about for quite some time. NFL fans have made their feelings clear about the Super Bowl LX halftime show ever since it was announced last year.
Turning Point USA, the conservative nonprofit founded by the late Charlie Kirk, became the most vocal critic of that decision when it was announced. They went as far as to schedule an ‘All-American Halftime Show’ to counter his Super Bowl halftime show.
“The All-American Halftime Show is an opportunity for all Americans to enjoy a halftime show with no agenda other than to celebrate faith, family, and freedom,” Turning Point USA spokesman Andrew Kolvet said.
“We set out to provide an entertainment option that will be fun, excellent, and exciting for the entire family while millions are gathered together for the big game. These performers will deliver exactly that, and we can’t wait to watch the incredible show they’re about to put on. We know millions around the country will be watching too.”
It is set to compete with the official Apple Music Super Bowl halftime show headlined by Bad Bunny. The All-American Halftime Show will stream live at around 8 p.m. ET. However, there is now a huge problem.
Turning Point USA’s Halftime Show Will Be Easy To Avoid
Well, things are not going according to plan for TP-USA. Turning Point announced an alternative halftime show after Bad Bunny’s selection as this year’s performer drew backlash.
Turning Point has described its “All-American Halftime Show” as an “opportunity for all Americans to enjoy a halftime show with no agenda other than to celebrate faith, family, and freedom.”
Back in the 90s, a live “In Living Color” episode on Fox drew 20-25 million viewers, more than the Super Bowl halftime on CBS. Such will not be the case for the conservative company. Back then, fans could simply change the channel with their remote.
The alternate halftime show will be airing on Turning Point USA’s YouTube channel and other outlets. It is not exactly something people can find easily.
Ratings for both will tell the true story.
