Two people were killed and three others critically injured Monday afternoon when Robert Dorgan opened fire at a high school hockey game. Authorities have identified the gunman in Pawtucket, Rhode Island, as the 56-year-old transgender father who reportedly shot four family members and a family friend. He eventually turned the gun on himself.
Multiple sources cited by the New York Post said the victims include the mother of Dorgan’s hockey player son and the student athlete’s sibling. The deranged transgender gunman was plagued by “mental health issues,” his distraught daughter said.
Court documents obtained by local outlet WPRI show the shooter had gender reassignment surgery in 2020. His behavior has increasingly gotten worse every year since that moment. One of Dorgan’s children, a North Providence High School senior, was playing in the hockey game on Monday when he opened fire.
A woman, who did not give her name, was exiting the Pawtucket Police Department when she spoke out about her father.

The suspect accused of shooting and killing two people at a Rhode Island ice rink on Monday before killing himself is being talked about by his daughter.
Robert Dorgan had been involved in multiple disputes with relatives in recent years. Many of his issues escalated after he underwent gender reassignment surgery.
“He shot my family, and he’s dead now,” his daughter stated. She walked away from the police station as she gave her comments. He was the father of a senior at North Providence High School, one of the six schools participating in the co-op games.
“He has mental health issues,” she added, noting her father was “very sick,” but didn’t elaborate further.
The unnamed woman claimed she wasn’t sure who was shot and killed by Robt Dorgan. However, she was heading to the hospital to check. Dorgan was found dead inside the Lynch Arena with one other fatal victim.
