As training camp for all 32 NFL teams continues to ramp up, a lot about a team’s roster can be revealed.

Whether it’s a surprise rookie set to make a bigger impact than initially thought or a seasoned veteran being on the fringe of roster cuts.

In this particular case, fourth-year receiver Kadarius Toney has emerged as a strong-cut candidate for the Kansas City Chiefs ahead of the regular season.

When the first unofficial depth chart was released, the biggest headline was that Toney had been bumped down to fifth-string wide receiver.

Of course, this is unofficial and could mean nothing, but the Chiefs have made it obvious that Toney will need to start making changes if he wants to stay with the team, as he’s been getting practice reps at running back.

Last year, he was particularly disappointing in a very productive passing offense, securing just 169 receiving yards and only one touchdown playing in 13 games.
