Jimmy Fallon was shown a lot throughout the Paris Olympics as he cheered on Team USA at various events.
Unfortunately for many folks, Fallon was on hand to provide some commentary during the 2024 Paris Olympics Closing Ceremony, but fans were not impressed with his presence on the broadcast.
Viewers expressed dismay over Jimmy Fallon being shown entirely too much in the days of the Paris Olympics and even more as he took to the booth for the closing ceremony.
There was widespread demand for him to be removed from the broadcast, with a disapproving fan on X, which used to be known as Twitter, writing: “NBC, get Jimmy Fallon out of there NOW and bring back…this is ruining every good feeling I had left about the Olympics.”

Fans took to social media and let their feelings be known about Jimmy Fallon:
NBC bringing in Jimmy Fallon to comment on the Olympics closing ceremony might be the most embarrassing, shameful thing they’ve done yet. He asked Katie Ledecky if she’s going to “swim home.” I’m speechless.

IMO: This is where NBC’s celebrity push is brutal for Olympic viewers.
Ask yourself what Jimmy Fallon is adding here for the closing ceremony?
It’s cross promotion over value for viewers.
Gannon, Lipinski, Weir and Tirico. More than good enough for this. https://t.co/E2KorImtVF

Feel like NBC hasn’t shown enough Jimmy Fallon during the Olympics.

Truly the most offensive thing about these Olympics has been how much Jimmy Fallon we’ve been subjected to https://t.co/eepG1uyhPP

If I was a flag bearer representing my country at the Olympics and they were forcing me to talk to Jimmy Fallon instead of enjoying the moment I would say the c word on live national television

Jimmy Fallon about to ruin the last 2 weeks of Olympic Greatness in just a couple of hours of him being him.

To NBC:
You’ve finally done it! You’ve given us Olympics tonnage and a mix of live and packaged primetime.
Thank you. Just ease up on Jimmy Fallon in four years.
Having Snoop in LA is fine. He’s a true fan.

One of Fallon’s worst moments in the booth was asking Katie Ledecky if she intended to swim home from Paris. The joke did not go over the way he thought it would.
NBC’s Olympic coverage received rave reviews and positive reactions, but their involving Jimmy Fallon so much left a sour taste in everyone’s mouth.
Snoop Dogg’s Absence Was Felt As Jimmy Fallon Was Pushed Onto Fans
Unlike Jimmy Fallon, several entertainers made this one of the most memorable Summer Games in some time.
At no point during the two-week coverage did fans get sick and tired of seeing Snoop Dogg, who was everywhere at different events.
After stealing the show day after day in Paris during the 2024 Olympics, the rapper, who served as an NBC Olympics Special Correspondent, flew out of town and headed back to California to help the ushering of having the Olympics in Los Angeles in 2028, per The Hollywood Reporter.
With his presence gone, NBC looked to Jimmy Fallon to replace him, and no one liked the change.
Luckily for everybody involved, the Summer Games are over, and Fallon can return to his late-night show.
