Jason Kelce is enjoying brother Travis Kelce’s latest football season.

On Saturday, Aug. 17, the Philadelphia Eagles alum praised the Kansas City Chiefs tight end for his great start to the NFL preseason games.

“Behind the back passes, Carson Wentz touchdown throws, Nate Sudfeld touchdown throws,” Jason, 36, posted on X (formerly Twitter), adding: “This is up there with my most enjoyed preseason games so far.”

The behind-the-back pass was pulled off by Travis, 34, and his teammate, quarterback Patrick Mahomes, during a game against the Detroit Lions. Mahomes, 28, used the move as a trick play to throw Travis the football.

The subtle pass resulted in a successful first down for the team.

Jason had previously praised the moment in real-time on X, writing: “This son of a gun actually did it!! Magic Mahomes.” He also reposted the video of the incredible moment for fans to see.

“Now that it’s been done in the preseason, I got a fever, and I need more cowbell,” Jason added.

Mahomes, meanwhile, joked that the trick move was done out of spite. “Travis didn’t run the route he was supposed to run, and then it was a kind of a behind-the-back pass, kinda ’cause I was mad,” he said in a video shared on the Chiefs’ Instagram.

“Out of spite, I threw a behind-the-back pass,” the soon-to-be father-of-three added.

Jason also gave kudos to a fellow Eagle alumni as he praised his former teammate, Carson Wentz, who is now a back up for the Chiefs.

Jason and Wentz, 31, played together on the Eagles from 2016 to 2020. He completed one of the touchdowns during the Aug. 17 game.

Nate Sudfeld, who is a quarterback for the Lions and had a successful touchdown yesterday, also played for the Eagles with Jason from 2017 until 2020.

Despite all the game’s excitement and a strong start, the Chiefs wound up losing to the Lions 24-23

The Chiefs face off against the Chicago Bears in their next preseason game on Thursday, Aug. 22.
