On Saturday morning, ESPN aired its first “College GameDay” episode for the 2024 season. Making another return to the show was longtime analyst Lee Corso, who has been on the show since 1987 when it first launched.
It will now be 38 years of Corso gracing the screens of college football fans every Saturday during the regular season. That’s a long time in one profession. Corso is now 89, and some fans worry about him and his health.
During the show, Corso mentioned how lucky he is to remain healthy and return for another year.

However, many fans think it’s time for Corso to leave the show.

As Corso prepares to turn 90 next year, there is a strong chance that this could be his last season as an analyst.

Lee Corso Has A Positive Headgear Pick Percentage
One of the best parts of “College GameDay” is when Corso makes a headgear pick. It always makes for a hilarious moment, and many would be surprised to know he’s actually very accurate with his picks.
Cole’s Gameday Blog has tracked every headgear pick he has made, all the way back to his first one in 1996, when he correctly picked Ohio State to beat Penn State.
In 414 picks he has had 275 wins to 139 losses, a 66.43 winning percentage.
