Tyreek Hill’s refusal to cooperate with Miami-Dade police on Sunday led to his brief detainment before the Miami Dolphins took on the Jacksonville Jaguars.
As teammates drove into Hard Rock Stadium Sunday, they saw Tyreek in handcuffs.
Hill’s agent, Drew Rosenhaus, said on NFL Network that defensive lineman Calais Campbell and tight end Jonnu Smith “were very supportive and very upset” while Hill was handcuffed.
On Monday afternoon, police cam footage was released that showed exactly what went on during that entire interaction, and it did not paint cops in a good light.
One of the more disturbing pieces of footage showed Tyreek Hill begging tight end Jonnu Smith not to leave him along with the cops because he was feeling unsafe.

Several videos on social media showed Hill being handcuffed and on the ground with officers surrounding him, but the cam footage from officers really showed how frightening this incident truly was for Tyreek Hill.
Drew Rosenhaus Calls Tyreek Hill Situation ‘Heartbreaking’ And Stats An Investigation Will Happen
Tyreek Hill was pulled over and detained by police on his way into Hard Rock Stadium for the Miami Dolphins Week 1 game against the Jacksonville Jaguars in what was the biggest news of the day before games got started.
Hill was handcuffed and placed facedown on the ground by officers during the stop.
A little over an hour later, Hills’ agent, Drew Rosenhaus, spoke with ESPN’s Jeff Darlington and stated the entire situation was heartbreaking and that an investigation would happen.

“It’s a heartbreaking situation,” Rosenhaus told Darlington. “Obviously, I love Tyreek. I hated to see him in the situation he was in with the police. He is going to play today. Number one, he’s okay. Number two, he’s going to play.
Number three, apparently he got a ticket for a moving violation entering the stadium. How things escalated into the situation that they were in, in handcuffs and being held on the ground by police is mind-boggling to me. I’m deeply concerned by that. Very troubled. We will be looking into it. We will be investigating this. We will look out for Tyreek, but I’m not going to make any allegations at this time.
“The most important thing is Tyreek is okay physically,” Rosenhaus continued. “Mentally, he was very distraught about what happened. Tyreek has told me over and over he is a big supporter of police. He was telling the police there I want to be a police officer in the future, but this is crazy. I’ve never seen anything like this.”
Rosenhaus added that he was distraught and called the situation “complete unnecessary.”
