Cause of Molly Qerim First Take absence revealed after ESPN fans grew concerned

Molly Qerim’s absence from ESPN’s First Take will soon come to an end as the cause of her disappearance from the weekday sports program over the last several days has been revealed.

Fans had grown concerned over Qerim’s unexplained absence from First Take, with none of her fellow panelists or interim hosts commenting on her status.

Qerim had been with the show since returning to ESPN in 2015 and has become a fan favorite for her ability to navigate the stronger on-air personalities like Stephen A. Smith, Shannon Sharpe, and Chris ‘Mad Dog’ Russo.

Qerim’s hiatus from First Take was a pre-planned break, with the 40-year-old wanting to take it easy before the NBA and college basketball seasons begin, per The Sun.

Away from her public life on-air, Qerim has the desire to unplug from social media and the outside world as much as possible during her time off, which explains her lack of acknowledgement to her own hiatus.

Qerim’s return has already been revealed to DailyMail.com to be coming on Monday.

Qerim’s fans will also be relieved to know her break was not anything health-related or caused by a larger shift in her role within ESPN.

In her absence, interim moderators have included Russo, Shae Cornette, and Christine Williamson.

That trio has had varying successes controlling the shouting matches of the strong personalities around her.

It has also shined a light on how much of a grind Qerim’s normal responsibilities are on the show five days a week.

And in three days, all will be normal for fans of First Take.
