Buffalo Bills offensive lineman Dion Dawkins spoke to the media on Thursday following a plane crash in his yard in Aurora, New York.
A single-engine aircraft went down near the three-time Pro Bowler’s house around 11:30 a.m. after taking off from Lansing, Michigan. A male pilot, who had not been identified at the time of writing, is said to have perished in the crash.
The National Transportation Safety Board has announced it will launch an investigation into the incident, with mechanical failure understood to be the cause.
Fortunately, no one on the ground was hurt, and Dawkins and his family are okay.
