With the World Series now well underway, fans have come out in full force with claims of it being “rigged.”

The Los Angeles Dodgers took Game 1 against the New York Yankees on Friday night, but it wasn’t without controversy.

There was a lot of chatter regarding the officiating. Many fans felt like the strike zone wasn’t applied consistently, which led to one team being favored over the other.

Another notable moment saw a potential Yankees home run ruined as it was overturned due to fan interference.

Fans also felt like the managerial choices were ill-advised and deliberate, with New York’s Aaron Boone fielding plenty of criticism for playing Nestor Cortes, who hadn’t pitched in over a month yet was included on the World Series roster.

“Yankees just brought in a pitcher who hasn’t pitched in over a month since September 18th with the game on the line in the WORLD SERIES … and idiots still won’t think these games are rigged,” a tweet read.

“I just don’t know what analytics or binders told the Yankees that Nestor Cortez, shaky at best when healthy and shelved the past month, was the answer,” another read. “Two fastballs right down the dick but Aaron Boone liked how he’s looked in the bullpen??!! TIM HILL IS ON YOUR F**KING TEAM.”

The NFL Got In On The World Series “Rigged” Chants Too

It appears the NFL enjoyed watching another league endure “rigged” claims and even joined fans in claiming the MLB was scripted.

A comment from one of their social media accounts, reading “MLB script writers cooked with this one,” was screengrabbed and posted on Reddit.
