The weather is shaping up to play a big role in Thursday Night’s Pittsburgh Steelers vs Cleveland Browns game at Huntington Bank Field in Cleveland, Ohio.
Cleveland lakeshore is expected to see rain, high winds and some snow flurries leading up to kickoff. A cold front is moving through the region on Wednesday, bringing a massive temperature drop, high winds and mixed precipitation.
Heavier snows are expected to begin just before the Steelers and Browns take the field, with lake effect snowfall potentially accumulating during the game itself. Wind gusts of over 20 mph coming off Lake Erie should cause blowing snow and could make for slushy or icy conditions on roadways, which could make for slow travel leaving the game.
The forecast for Thursday night in Cleveland includes flurries changing into full-on lake effect snow and 20 mph winds coming off the lake.
Sounds like AFC North weather.https://t.co/n9CxrMUhwl

Active weather is in store the next few days with some rain spreading through from west to east today. Colder weather, gusty winds, and the season’s first snowflakes for many are still in store behind a cold front that will cross Wednesday afternoon and evening. #OHwx #PAwx pic.twitter.com/HdcocBsbEf
