When the New York Giants take the field on Sunday against the Baltimore Ravens, they all enter as the biggest home underdogs they’ve been in 60 years.
According to multiple sportsbooks, the Giants enter Sunday as 16.5-point underdogs against the Ravens, making them the season’s biggest NFL underdogs.
Big Blue hasn’t been this big of an underdog at home in recorded history, and the largest since at least 1966 when they were 14.5-point underdogs to the St. Louis Cardinals, a game they lost, 20-17.
The Giants started the week at 14.5-point underdogs but that changed to 16.5 after the news broke that Tommy DeVito was starting in replace of the injured Drew Lock.
The biggest spread the Giants have faced is 17.5 points, which was just last year against the Cowboys on Nov. 12 in Dallas, a game they lost 49-17.
The Giants enter Sunday 2-11 and 0-7 at home this season. No team in NFL history has gone 0-9 but the clock is ticking on the Giants to not hit another embarrassing milestone. After today against the Ravens, their final home game will be in Week 17 against the Colts.
