Ohio State quarterback Will Howard must be in some real pain this Friday night.

The signal-caller is playing Texas in the Cotton Bowl and has a nasty knot on his left hand that’s likely causing him some discomfort.

ESPN noted that Howard hadn’t complained or asked for treatment or even ice, with a reporter pointing out that the lump was as big as a golf ball.

It’s like he has a buckeye in there, right?

Will Howard Is Looking To Achieve Two Things Tonight

Howard is hoping to fire Ohio State to the national title game, but he must also be hoping he’s allowed on the stage this time around, as he wasn’t permitted to join his teammates after winning the Rose Bowl.

Security bizarrely kept the quarterback off the podium despite his role in the win, and his protests were ignored.

Of course, the Buckeyes would first need to beat the Longhorns. They were up 7-0 in the second quarter at the time of writing.
