Laura Rutledge gives new meaning to multitasking.
ESPN’s Laura Rutledge turned on the jets during the Sugar Bowl on Thursday night, and she didn’t even need to catch her breath.
Ole Miss came out on top on the night, beating Georgia 39-34 to extend their miraculous CFP run. The Rebels went into halftime 21-12 but staged a comeback in the second half to seal it with a field goal at the end.
Rutledge was on call for the game and, as you’ll see in the video below, didn’t have just the one assignment.
She was the sideline reporter at the Caesars Superdome… then she was suddenly the host of ESPN’s halftime show. She literally ran across the field to get from one gig to the other. Then she took her seat at the desk and got right to work.
Check her out in the video below:
This wasn’t her first sprint either. She did something similar last month.
Laura Rutledge’s Feat Was No Easy One, Take It From Someone Who’s “Been On Camera”
A golf cart would have come in handy there, but Laura didn’t feel like waiting around.
“This is incredible,” Mike Wobschall of Bleav in Vikings wrote in the comments.“The physical feat on its own is a lot. But then to gather thoughts, catch breath and perform on camera is a feat in its own. As someone who’s been on camera, I know none of that was easy and it took many people to pull off.”
Laura Rutledge has become one of the more popular sportscasters at ESPN. She hosts ‘NFL Live’ every week and recently went viral for accidentally seducing Dan Orlovsky live on air.
The 37-year-old is also a sideline reporter for ‘Monday Night Football’, now a full-time member of the crew. And, of course, there’s her work on ‘SEC Nation’.
She should be back at it for ABC’s Week 18 broadcast of the Seahawks-49ers game, with the network hosting a doubleheader.
