Former MLB pitcher Reyes Moronta died in a driving accident in the Dominican Republic on Sunday, according to multiple reports.
Moronta, who pitched for four MLB teams spanning six seasons, was 31.
The Bravos de León of the Mexican League, his most recent team, confirmed his death in a post on X.
Moronta was driving a four-wheeler home at the time of the accident, according to MLB insider Héctor Gómez — who shared a photo of a four-wheeler on its side and cited a person “very close” to Moronta in a post on X.
