A female West Virginia fan’s shocking racist remark was caught on camera ahead of last weekend’s game against Pittsburgh.
The Panthers lost 24-31 to the Mountaineers last Saturday, leaving both programs with 2-1 records to start the season.
Since then, a video has surfaced on Twitter/X showing two fans going at it. A Black male is heard asking an Asian female to fix her makeup in an attempt to troll her. She tells him to change his skin color before walking away, while he’s left shocked.

The clip garnered a wide range of reactions from folks in the comments, some of which are shown below:
“Imagine being so bad at trash talk that you jump straight to racism. Wild part is if the roles were reversed this would be front-page news for a week, but since it doesn’t fit the script… silence,” one reads.
“Sports rivalries are fun until they cross the line into personal attacks. Respect and decency should always come first, no matter the team,” reads a second.
“That’s a crazy thing to say💀,” a fan pointed out.
“Not racist bc she’s Asian,” someone else claimed.
Racial tensions are still high in the United States despite there being no widespread reports of any controversial incidents in some time.
The male’s reaction in the video could have been very different, so kudos to him. But some users also accused him of triggering the response, though the West Virginia fan clearly crossed the line.
