People At Denny Hamlin’s Family Home During Fire Yet To Be Identified

There were two people at the house at the time. One reportedly perished, and the other was hospitalized with serious injuries.

An investigation is underway.

“The fire resulted in the complete loss of the home, according to the Lucia-Riverbend Fire Department. It took around two hours to put out the fire due to a lack of water in the area. Gaston County officials said the investigation will continue well into Monday,” the outlet added.

The tragedy comes in the wake of the death of former NASCAR driver Greg Biffle. Biffle was killed in a plane crash along with his family on December 18.

The 55-year-old, his wife Cristina, and his two children were all aboard the private jet. It went down after an attempt to land at Statesville Regional Airport. Pilots Dennis and Jack Dutton, as well as former Kenny Wallace hauler driver Craig Wadsworth, were on the craft. There were no survivors.

Anthony Joshua was involved in an accident in Nigeria on Monday morning in another athlete tragedy. Joshua sustained minor injuries.

However, two others were killed.
