Travis Kelce Issues Blunt Response to Being Booed During Sporting Event

Travis Kelce‘s casual, nonchalant personality was on full display in how he responded to a recent diss, as the football star shared his thoughts on getting booed at the basketball game between the Dallas Mavericks and the Minnesota Timberwolves.

During the newest episode of his podcast with older brother Jason, Travis recounted the fun night at the game, which he attended with teammates Marquise “Hollywood” Brown and Patrick Mahomes, as well as Mahomes’ wife Brittany.

At one point, Travis was shown on the jumbotron, and some people in the audience booed the 34-year-old in response. Jason questioned the “interesting reception” from fans, but Travis didn’t appear too bothered.

“I got booed twice. It’s whatever,” he said with a shrug. “I get it. I’m not from Dallas. I’m just kinda like an innocent bystander.”

As Jason curiously asked, “Why?” Travis didn’t have an answer, saying, “I don’t know. Maybe they just don’t like the Chiefs,” before sarcastically commenting, “Alright Dallas! Appreciate the warm welcome!”

He noted that the crowd seemed happy to see his Chiefs teammate Mahomes, who grew up in Tyler, Texas, close to the city of Dallas, with Travis calling him a “hometown kid.”

Despite the audience’s attitude towards Travis, he made it clear that he had a great time and complimented the Mavericks on the game, saying, “Dallas is just playing flawless at the end of basketball games.”

During his visit to Texas, Travis also attended a Dallas Stars NHL match, with the star appearing on the jumbotron there as well. The team jokingly referenced his relationship with Taylor Swift while featuring him on social media, welcoming him with the message, “We’ve got a Blank Space (on the back of a Stars jersey), and we’ll write your name @killatrav 😉.”

Overall, Travis seemed to have an exciting time in the Lone Star State, and he’ll likely be back in the future.
