Miami Dolphins star Tua Tagovailoa looks completely unrecognizable as he meets fans and shows off bold new haircut

Miami Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa was unrecognizable with his new look at a meet-and-greet on Thursday.

At the launch of his Perry Ellis collection at Macy’s Aventura, the 26-year-old debuted his grown-out curls and cleanly shaved face.

After a ten-second video of Tagovailoa’s event was posted by Giselle Espinales on X, fans flooded the comment section with jokes and comments about his look.

‘Bruno Mars [is] tripping,’ one quipped – suggesting that Tagovailoa’s new look likens him to the popstar and his fellow Hawaiian.

‘Say you swear to god,’ another commented. Meanwhile, a third suggested that ‘bro needs to keep the beard.’

‘Stop, this is the child from Jungle Book all grown up,’ another joked.

‘That man don’t look anything like Tua,’ said a fifth.

Although most of the comments came from a comedic standpoint, several users responded with confirmation that Tagovailoa did not hire a younger-looking body double.

‘It’s really him, I was filming [the] Dolphins OTAs for the week,’ user RoemelloGrant wrote. ‘It’s him, trust me, I was surprised too.’

‘You guys are too much with the comments,’ Espinales responded. ‘Trust me, it’s Tua. Just clean-shaven. He was great with fans taking pics and signing autographs.’

Tagovailoa is entering his fifth season in the NFL after getting drafted by Miami in 2020. Last season, he completed 388 of his 560 passes for 4,624 yards and 29 touchdowns.

Tagovailoa led the Dolphins to an 11-6 record before losing to the Kansas City Chiefs in the wild-card round.

Miami will open their season against on September 8 by hosting their fellow Floridians, the Jacksonville Jaguars.
