After the tragic passing of his death in November of 2007, the Washington Commanders debuted a memorial to their former safety – which left a lot to be desired.
The glorified mannequin, complete with the wrong period jersey and lack of Sean Taylor’s personal touches epitomized Dan Synder’s ownership with the team before he sold the team in 2023.
This is the Sean Taylor “statue” that was just unveiled on the 15th anniversary of his tragic death.
Another embarrassing moment for the Washington franchise. Unreal.

The new ownership group led by Josh Harris is slowly but surely doing their best to reverse all of Snyder’s mess ups and right his wrongs, and it was announced this weekend that the team plans to replace the Sean Taylor memorial with a proper one.
