Johnny Gaudreau’s sister Katie Gaudreau’s wedding was canceled Friday after the NHL star and their brother, Matthew Gaudreau, were tragically killed.
Weeks before Johnny and Matthew Gaudreau were killed, their sister Katie had celebrated her bridal shower ahead of her wedding, where the brothers were slated to serve as groomsmen.
To make matters worse, Katie posted an incredibly sad picture where everybody could be seen at a church rehearsing things just before the wedding.

No one had a clue that Johnny Gaudreau and Matthew would never be seen alive again after they departed from the church.
The brothers were biking on Country Route 551 North when a driver suspected to be under the influence of alcohol tried to pass another car and fatally hit Johnny and Matthew.
Drunk Driver That Killed Johnny Gaudreau Gets Charged
The driver who allegedly was intoxicated when he hit and killed National Hockey League star Johnny Gaudreau and his brother, Matthew, was a high-ranking military officer, per PEOPLE.
Unfortunately for him, no one will be thanking him for his service after he went from saving lives to taking them.
According to New Jersey State Police, the Gaudreau brothers were cycling on a road when 43-year-old Sean Higgins attempted to pass two other vehicles and struck them from behind.
The car accident was so bad that the two were pronounced dead at the scene.
Higgins failed a field sobriety test and admitted to a responding officer to having consumed five or six beers before the accident and to drinking while driving.
Higgins was charged with two counts of death by auto in connection with the devastating crash that killed Johnny and his brother, Matthew.
